Mission Statement

Russell House is dedicated to helping you establish a life free of violence and provides confidential services to help you leave an abusive situation.

Our services include:

  1. Shelter: We can provide you temporary shelter and referral to other shelters and services.
  2. Support Groups: We provide support groups throughout the week. Support groups are held in Phelps. Maries, Dent and Crawford counties each week. Call Russell House for times and locations.
  3. Advocacy: We can help you with suggestions and a plan for your safety. We can assist in finding community resources that are available to you.
  4. Court Advocacy: We can help you with explanations of your legal rights. We can assist in legal processes such as Orders of Protection.
  5. 24 Hour Crisis Hotline: We can assist you in confidential crisis counseling and crisis intervention.
  6. Individual adult and children's counseling: Therapy provided for adults and children to address issues of domestic violence.

You can access Russell House services, whether you stay at a shelter or not, as part of our non-resident program.

All services are confidential and provided at no cost to you.

We support the principle that all individuals have a right to a life free of abuse.
